Cookie cutters

Bought these extremely cute disney cookie cutters with matching bags last week and can't wait to use them! Really was amazed by these innovative 'made in Japan' stuffs..this 3D hello kitty cookie cutter is one example! (I saw this at some website..and can't wait to get my hand on this too!)

I must ask my sis to help me look out for more cookie cutters when she's on her next working trip to Japan! Phoebe will love to use these cutters too..

Poo accident

Tonight, Phoebe poo in her panty...she will usually tell me if she wants to go toilet but she didn't today and this poo accident happened twice this month. Well, I lost my cool and reprimanded her..Ya, I know accidents aren't the end of the world..but I have to clean up the mess especially the soiled clothes! I will have to remind her again tomorrow before she's off to school and I don't want that to happen again in class!

Colouring improvement

I realised Phoebe enjoys colouring lately but of course for a 31 month old, enjoying doesn't meant that she does her favourite thing for long hours... she can sit still and do her colouring for 15 mins, to me she is enjoying! The pictures in the slide showing penguin, bears and the cats were done today and the rest were done two weeks ago..can see the difference right? Her grip is more firm and she can hold the colour pencils in the correct way now .

Improvement in colouring..something which makes mummy proud too.

Marbled and Chocolate Muffins

Tried baking some muffins today. The result...not bad! (the feedback from my sis was that the muffin tasted a bit dry though.) The weird thing is that the recipe in the book mentioned the ingredient makes 21 but I only managed to make 9... I guess the paper cups I used are different from those in the book. I placed the muffins into clear bags which I think looks more appetizing and "professional" too.

Litte Quack's Bedtime

Everytime I asked Phoebe to choose from the pile of storybooks which we borrowed from the library last week, she will choose this book. She finds this story so interesting that she will ask me to repeat again and again. I totally agreed cos this story is heartwarming and the illustrations are so cute!

Oranges

I've been introducing oranges to Phoebe these few days but only allowing her to eat ard 3 slices cos I wouldn't want her to cough and yet not missing the benefits of eating oranges!

First paint art

She really enjoyed doing this paint art! I helped her a bit (she insisted on doing herself) by wiping off the excess paint and wrote the wordings for her.. She did the carebear and a Doraemon and costed me 10 bucks!!

I pasted them on the mirror along my living room, cute!

Sunday walk at Mount Faber Park

It was another Sunday weekend..decided to take a walk at Mount Faber Park. Did some photo-taking and sight-seeing but because the weather was too hot so we decided to go back after a short stay there. Phoebe was excited to see the cable car but didn't got the chance to ride. I promised her to go there again.

Homemade Rabbit Cookies

Tried making cookies today. Phoebe was so bored and kept pestering me when I am making the dough that I decided to let her joined me. I rolled out the dough and let her used the rabbit-shape cutter to cut and she enjoyed the cutting process so much! The cookies turned out to be quite cute though the shape and colours were uneven..It was a fun and "messy" experience for both of us indeed!

Oh..Phoebe..my girl..

Yesterday afternoon I was busy cooking lunch for hubby and Phoebe. Hubby helped to bathe and played with her. When I am done with the cooking, I served the pumpkin shimeiji mushroom mee sua to them. Phoebe was excited to eat mummy's new recipe, she saw the plate for daddy and the plate for herself, pulled out a stool and said: "this one for daddy and this one for Phoebe, mummy you go away..." I am not hurt by P's words but had this mixed feeling of happiness cos P is so closed to her daddy this few days since daddy is the one accompaning her to sleep every night. :)

On the way back from Causeway Point after dinner and shopping, Phoebe was holding the stickerbook titled "THE FARM" I bought for her. She was pointing to the alphabets talking to herself on the carseat : H for horse, F for fish, M for milk, R for rabbit, this one egg (she forgotten E but can point to it and say egg), T for tortise. She forgotten A but nevertheless mummy is proud of my little girl!

A fun day at East Coast Park

A fun-filled good Friday at East Coast Park! We went cycling and my first ever kite flying with family. It's also Phoebe's first cycling on a three person bike with daddy and mummy, and first kite flying too! The weather was so sunny that all of us became so tanned..luckily we applied the sunblock on the kids..It sure was a relaxing fun day experience at ECP today.

Reading habit

This is Phoebe's first library card made sometime back. Phoebe had been to the library twice so far and I will continue to bring her there again. Hopefully the library trips will develop her love to read books. I make it a habit to read her storybooks everyday and seemed she enjoyed reading time with mummy!

Quality time with daddy

Daddy will always try to spend a little quality time with Phoebe everytime he comes back from work. Today is no exception..after playing hide and seek, daddy decided to rest his leg, he took out the photo albums and Phoebe enjoyed fliping through the albums with him. I was surfing the net (hee hee..time for me to rest after cooking dinner and stuff..) beside them and quickly took out the camera to snap pics of them..

Mango Pudding

The ripeness of the mango is just nice!

Yummy yummy!

Hubby brought home a mango given by a colleague last week. The colour turned beautiful orangy yellow today and happened that I have this mango pudding recipe in mind which I saw at baking mum's blog yesterday..so decided to make some! The pudding turned out very successful and real tasty as mentioned in baking mum's blog. Do not be mistaken by the colour of the pudding..there's no colouring added, the nice colour came from the mango puree. Think will be a great idea to make some for Phoebe's birthday party in few months time!

Baby Dan bean bag cushion

I got this Baby Dan bean bag cushion from Takashimaya 2.5 years back when Phoebe was still in my tummy..Love the design very much and find it very worthwhile cos Phoebe has been using it ever since she was born. Used to be her little mattress and now her little cushion seat!

Satisfied dinner

Cooked a special fried rice which I got the recipe from i weekly accompanied by a tasty corn soup this evening...Glad hubby and Phoebe enjoyed their dinner!

Live Shows 2008/09

Whenever there's any live shows, we would try our best to bring the kids to watch and of course not missing the meet and greet session!

Counting

Chopsticks preferance

My little girl has always prefer to use chopsticks to fork when we dine outside. Though the way she holds the chopsticks is wrong, she can still manage to scoop up her foods - ranging from noodles to peanuts! Way to go, Phoebe!

Jalan Jalan @ Plaza Singapura

My sis and I meet up with PeiPei and I managed to see the twins again..wow, times flies the twins are so big now and incredibly adorable too (forgot to take pics of them)..the older kids - Jayden, Phoebe and YuEn mixed around happily but with occasional small fights (kids are always like that!) other than that it was an enjoyable brisk window shopping trip! SAHMs need to unleash stress sometimes too..err.. by window shopping!

The kids were so fascinated by this Dora table at Spotlight!

Phoebe and Jayden enjoying their mrt ride home...

Dried longan red dates Hashima snow jelly

I have been craving for this dessert so decided to make one big pot myself this morning. It's a easy dessert to make but got to soak the Hashima snow jelly overnight though...The Hashima snow jelly is said to strengthen the lungs and great for our complexion. Hubby commented this dessert taste nice especially served cold!

Avocados

Avocados are a rich source of folate, vitamin A and potassium. They have useful amounts of protein, iron, magnesium, and vitamins C, E and B6. They are rich in monounsaturated oil, the same heart-friendly fat found in olive oil, and have more soluble fiber than any other fruit.
Passed by a fruit stall at the neighbourhood and saw some australia avocados and decided to buy one. Costed me $2! Didn't know it to be so expensive but after that saw the same avocados at NTUC which costed only $1.35 each.. :(

Great combination!
I made the avocado milkshake ( I remembered Shirley - Heidi's mummy told me avocado with smoo milk taste great) and gave Phoebe tried during her snack time. Well, she finished the whole cup though she made a wierd face at the first sip..I tried too and agreed with Shirley, the milkshake tasted delicious. I used to drink this particular avocado milkshake at the engineering or errr..is it science canteen in NUS (cannot remember liao) when I was working there few years bck..I think they added some other ingredient in and a different kind of milk which made me so unforgettable about the taste. Wonder what they are so I can make myself one at home too.. and that mummy and daddy can enjoy this delicious healthy drink too!
