Sweet treat

As usual I mashed up the apple for Phoebe after she had her fish porridge today. Well others would think why I mashed the apple instead of giving her eat in slices, treating her like a baby..if I give her slices of apple, she won't eat, if I give her mashed apple, she could finish them (one whole apple). She would prefer to eat cut fruits such as watermelon and papaya instead of cut apples. That's explained why I stick to mashing the apple even though she's 2.5yrs old now.
I did something different this time, added a small scoop of ice cream and drizzled tiny bit of honey on the top. She gobbled them up in minutes!

Shopping spree

We went to Jusco Bukit Indah with hubby's family (16 of us) by the 2nd link. Traffic was very smooth, weather was fine and I was in a great shopping mood! Thanks to Phoebe's cousin Tingting and Siqing for babysitting, I managed to go on a shopping spree!

Grabbed great values clothes, pyjamas, kiddy blankets frm Jusco and FOS.

Buttercake

Baked some rich buttercake for tomorrow breakfast!

When to throw the nappies away?

Phoebe has no problem going to the potty without her nappies now since I trained her 6 months ago..I was wondering if it's time to go to the next stage - without nappies during the night and nap time. I was reading the potty training book by Dr Jane Gilbert on the part on dry nights.
It stated: Don't rush your child out of nappies: there is little point in trying for dry nights until he's totally reliable during the day. If he's still having frequent accidents, then it's too much to expect him to get up, find the potty and go for a wee when he's fast asleep. In general, between the ages of 3 and 4 is a good time to try your child without a nappy at night, although some may be ready much earlier. Signs that your child may be ready include:
  • His nappy is dry when he wakes in the morning.
  • He wakes in the night and asks to go for a wee.
  • He tears off his nappy off in the night.
  • His nappy leaks in the early moring.
  • He is keen to try without nappies.

Hmm..I think will try to let Phoebe has her nap time without the nappy first and see how it goes...*cross my finger*

Colouring

Phoebe has been practising her colouring these past few days and this is one of the more presentable piece!

Phoebe's artwork!

@ Takashimaya

Yesterday, went out with my sis again. It's a pity didn't get to see PeiPei's twins and has been a long while since I last saw YuEn.. (PeiPei is my sis's sister-in-law). She cloudn't turn up at the last minute but my sis and I still stick to our plan bringing the kids out. We went to Takashimaya instead of Plaza Singapura. It so happened there was a baby fair at the taka square, though our kids are already toddlers, we still went there to see see look look hoping to grab some stuffs. This year baby fair has more participating brands including "I m toys" which I thought was better than last year. Well, didn't manage to grab anything at the fair but the kids enjoyed quite a bit playing jia jia jiu! We shopped ard and ended up in the better toy store, the kids enjoyed playing with the train tracks and we even bought some cute photo frames! *wink*

Fun-filling Day!

A visit to Heidi's Hse

This is our first visit to Heidi's hse. The kids enjoyed playing together especially on the playslide. Looking forward to visit again and might even try baking together with Shirley the nxt time...
Thomas and friends live show and ride @ Jurong Point

After the visit to Heidi's plc, I meet up my sis and went to Jurong Pt to catch the live show and Thomas ride. Got to spend $80 with maximum 2 combined receipt for the ride. Luckily my mum spent $40 on her clothes together with our $40 plus on training pants for the kids, we managed to let the kids (Phoebe and Jayden) had their ride on the tank engine. They enjoyed the ride with xiao yi so much! We also managed to catch the 7pm live show and the meet & greet session (which was free). Well, it was a fun-filling Tuesday indeed!
