Mums' day out

Hubby did me a great favour by taking care of Phoebe today which meant its my day off! I rang up my mum (her off day at work too) and asked her out for breakfast. We had our breakfast and some mum-daughter's chit-chatting at The White Coffee, Jurong Point..the french toast there tasted great!
We agreed on going to OG which has a sale going on cos remember seeing the sale booklet received the day before..shopping spree time..yeah! and yes without the hassle of bringing a kid around..
After shopping I brought mum to Nail Palace for a pedicure. She insisted on going home but I insisted her on doing it with me. There...this is my very first time pedicure with my mum. I remember the last time I did my manicure was before my wedding day..err which means seven plus years ago! The staffs there even joked asking if we want to bring our dead skin back for remembrance..(can you imagine the amount of dead skin cells we left there? Haha!)
A great day which I enjoyed very much with my mum and yes the shopping spree and pedicure left two broke but contented mums...oh ya and not forgetting to thank my hubby for his great help!
My first pedicure..can u believe that?!

Parent-Teacher meeting

Meet up with the pre-nursery teacher today and discussed about the progress of Phoebe in school. Teacher Shirley mentioned that Phoebe is able to follow instructions, share things with her classmates, able to focus in class, very interested in crafts works (so far all positive comments, phew..) and enjoyed doing things with her good friend Janelle. I was also given the portfolio of Phoebe showing the crafts she has been doing so far as well as some photos of her and classmates taken by the teacher during class.

Cousins

Only with age difference of one year plus, Phoebe and Jayden are two cousins who enjoy each other's company. Jayden will always ask for meimei and Phoebe will ask for korkor...though with occasional fights and arguments they will always be the best playmates and cousins forever. Really can't wait for the new addition to our family next year..and that makes three!

Fever, fever go away!

Yesterday afternoon I noticed something different with Phoebe. She was having fish porridge and broccoli for lunch and usually she would have insisted on eating the plate of steamed broccoli herself and finished them in no time and asking for more...that pieces of fish and broccoli had been in her mouth for 10 mins and still refusing to swallow..that's not her usual self. My six sense told me to touch her legs and arms..nope, not warm so I touched her forehead and not warm to the extent that I think is fever but I still decided to check her temp anyway. The reading on the thermometer reads 38.6! Oh gosh..it's going to be another sleepless night for us!
The temperature hits as high as 39.7 during the night and she kept crying and moaning. I had to sponge her every now and then and with the nurofen every six hourly hoping to bring down the temp. It really breaks my heart to see her like this. I cuddled her very warm body praying that she will be alright.
This morning she was better, finished her milk in the morning and glad she finished her porridge too during lunch. Temp measured 37.7 in the afternoon. She even danced and sing with me while watching the New MacDonald's Farm. She's asleep now and I hope the fever will subside today and never come back again!

Simple craft

Phoebe was getting bored yesterday afternoon so I tried to find something for her to past the time..I came out with an idea knowing that she enjoys using glue.. a used green envelope for Phoebe to paste on the picture as leaves, cut out red round shape frm some advertisement paper as apples, did some colouring, taught her the word "tree" and practised the writing of her name too. She even asked me to draw a pic of her and kor kor (she did the colouring herself).
Jayden, you shld take a look at this! Kor kor and meimei standing under an apple tree!

I want to sleep!

A very tired Phoebe who couldn't bear to wake up when mummy thought she's ready for school!

I'd put on her uniform, fed her the milk, get her water bottle and bag, when I turned around found her in this position on the sofa... apparently she decided to catch some more wink before I bring her to school! I woke her up and she said: "I want to sleep somemore"...
