Fever, fever go away!

Yesterday afternoon I noticed something different with Phoebe. She was having fish porridge and broccoli for lunch and usually she would have insisted on eating the plate of steamed broccoli herself and finished them in no time and asking for more...that pieces of fish and broccoli had been in her mouth for 10 mins and still refusing to swallow..that's not her usual self. My six sense told me to touch her legs and arms..nope, not warm so I touched her forehead and not warm to the extent that I think is fever but I still decided to check her temp anyway. The reading on the thermometer reads 38.6! Oh gosh..it's going to be another sleepless night for us!
The temperature hits as high as 39.7 during the night and she kept crying and moaning. I had to sponge her every now and then and with the nurofen every six hourly hoping to bring down the temp. It really breaks my heart to see her like this. I cuddled her very warm body praying that she will be alright.
This morning she was better, finished her milk in the morning and glad she finished her porridge too during lunch. Temp measured 37.7 in the afternoon. She even danced and sing with me while watching the New MacDonald's Farm. She's asleep now and I hope the fever will subside today and never come back again!
